Speed Drills

A baseball drill to help the hitter focus on release point to get better pitch selection.

This drill helped this batter improve at the plate, his struggle was consistently swinging at pitches above his hands. Since working on this he has swung at better pitches improving his ability to hit pitches in his zone, therefore increasing his batting average and on base percentage tremendously.  He has went 19 for his last 24, which is a .791 batting average.

It’s important to do simple and fun drills with the kids that you work with.  Drills are important part of repetition and gives your athletes the ability to succeed while in the game, instead of trying to think through it and then make a mistake.

It helps you to “act” vs “react”.
